Sport Tutor is a tried and tested online learning management tool in the sports industry, used by many codes and managed through Sport New Zealand. NNZ are excited about the potential this tool has for our course offerings. The 'How to Guide' is to the right of this page under 'Downloads' ====>>

NNZ have launched the following modules that are going live are:

  • Community Coaching
  • Umpire and Player
  • NetballSmart

So here is what you need to know…

Accessing Sport Tutor

There are a couple of ways to access Sport Tutor directly Sporttutor.nz/netballnz (don’t forget to bookmark the page)

Via the Netball New Zealand website Learning and Development Portal page

NetballSmart website NetballSmart Workshops page

Sign Up – for users who have never used Sport Tutor

Sport Tutor is a new learning system, so when people first go to the portal they will need to follow the sign-up process. Please note, people’s old logins for the Bracken system cannot be transferred over, so will not work.

Those with a Sport Tutor login already

Sport Tutor is used by several NZ sporting codes, along with Sport NZ. Some of your teams may already have a login. This means they can use their existing Sport Tutor login. In the User Guides, it will show the steps users need to take to access the Netball NZ content.

Sport Tutor User Guide – this is a general user guide to show how to access and use Sport Tutor

Issues - We have a couple of known issues which we are working on in the background:

  1. If the user is using a Mac, Sport Tutor does not work in Google Chrome they will need to use the Safari browser. We are working through this issue with the supplier.
  2. If the user stops before they are finished in either the Coaching or NetballSmart modules, and use the button ‘Save and back to course overview’; this will take the user back to the course overview, however, it will not save the place where they left the course. They will need to click forward through the slides, to get back to the place they stopped.

We are confident during the testing we have picked up most issues however if you or any of the Centre are experiencing any issues, please contact info@netballnz.co.nz immediately.
